We are looking for Sponsorship Partners to help us with the costs of the Greenland Trek 2012.
There are 3 levels of sponsorship available, and we are also willing to discuss tailoring an individual package to support your specific needs - simply contact us to discuss this. Sponsors benefit from logo placement on all our advertising, press, marketing and merchandise materials.

We are also seeking Specialist Equipment Sponsors - companies that can supply us with cameras, radios, GPS, IT equipment, etc. If you would like us to use your equipment on this trek please contact us.

Level 1: Total Corporate Sponsor - £10,000 (approx) - 1 package available

This package is for sole sponsorship of the Trek - there will be no other logos visible on our pulks, and the Trek will be "Sponsored by ...".

We will work with our Total Corporate Sponsor to maximise the marketing opportunities available both in the UK and Australia. Level 2: Corporate Kit Sponsor - £5,000 (approx)

Kit Sponsors are required to supply us with the specialist equipment that we will need to complete this Trek safely. Be Part of Something Inspirational - a message from Nick

My name is Nick Histon, I am an Intensive Care Charge Nurse currently working at the Southampton General Hospital. In 2008 I rowed across the Atlantic recording one of the fastest ever British pair's times on record. In order to do this our team had to construct our own boat, which stood up superbly to the test of the Atlantic Ocean. Since then I have completed various endurance challenges and over the course of these challenges I have raised almost £20,000 for various charities.

I will be taking on my next major challenge next April with my close friend Joe Keith. We will traverse the Greenland Polar Icecap, this is considered to be one of the big three major polar expeditions, along with the North and South Poles. We will face minus 20 degree temperatures, whiteout conditions, crevasse fields and maybe a few polar bears. This is a challenging expedition that will see us trek 360 miles completely unsupported, pulling all of our own supplies on paulks behind us.

This is a chance for your company to be a part of a truly epic journey. The team will be carrying a satellite phone on the icecap so will be able to send back live updates whilst on the icecap and tell the tale of an enduring trip in a magnificent environment.

The advantage of the Greenland expedition is that it does not come with the tear jerking logistical costs that the North and South Pole demand. This is a relatively low cost expedition and therefore is a fantastic opportunity for your company to be part of something completely different for a relatively small cost.

Next year will be a year where Britain is thrust into the limelight due to our Nation staging the Olympics. The positive image of sport will be a major publicity attraction in 2012 and we can provide this image for your company for a very low price.

We can do this in a number of ways:

• The expedition can be named after your company.
• Corporate logos and branding on our clothing which will be worn for all media and publicity events.
• The Greenland traverse website will have regular updates of our progress with the challenge and will create a substantial following online. This will also link into social networking sites with links to sponsors websites.
• The team will be willing to provide presentations and team building events based upon their experiences on the icecap.
• Nick Histon can also incorporate his experience of rowing an ocean into corporate presentations.
• If feasible, we can take your product onto the Icecap to create exciting publicity shots.

The Greenland Traverse team will work closely with your company to ensure that we can tailor make your publicity requirements to your specific needs.

Since the completion of the project, Nick Histon has given presentations on his Ocean row to some of the sponsors as well as potential Ocean Rowers. Most motivational speakers who are related to sport demand £1500 to £4000 for a motivational speech. Nick Histon can do this as part of a sponsorship package.
