Nick and Joe will be unsupported whilst on the Icecap but will be fully prepared by Adventure Hub.

Ian Couch and Ben Thackwray are the British record holders for traversing Greenland and will provide Nick and Joe with logistical and communications solutions whilst on the Icecap. They will also help to prepare Nick and Joe for their traverse prior to their departure.
 

Nick and Joe are embarking on one of the toughest challenges of their lives when they step foot on The Greenland Icecap in April. They are both familiar with endurance challenges, but are both new to the polar experience.

Education Through Expeditions

Education Through Expeditions (ETE) connects explorers and schools. Our aim is to amaze and inspire children and adults alike whilst educating them about the world around them.

The objective of the Education Through Expeditions is to revolutionise the way technology is utilised in learning. The innovative and pioneering interactive tools mean ETE is able to:

• Promote consideration of other communities and foster global citizenship
• Build a network where schools, universities and explorers can share their ideas
• Work to increase and develop student grades as a result of extra-curricular activities Inspire and educate children and adults globally about climate change and environments
• Allow explorers, fieldworkers and scientific researchers to communicate their knowledge and experiences to school children and universities globally
